BLUELABS History
The Chesapeake Bay, spanning the U.S. states of Virginia and Maryland, is a representative producer of natural oysters in the United States, and this is the area where the water purification ability of oyster shells was first recognized.
We brought academic research cases to Korea and applied them.
Our Story
Tongyeong is famous for oyster farming.
While a large amount of discarded oyster shells are generated here,
A young man from Tongyeong works to solve community problems.
We benchmarked the case of the Chesapeake Bay, which spans the US states of Virginia and Maryland.
He developed an innovative product that recycles oyster shells while removing contaminants from water.
